Vandarin - Chanter

  1. Waabu

    1. Age (18+ Requirement): 36
    2. Name (Forum & IGN): Forum name Waabu (after Warhammer Shaman of same name that was in XOO there).
    3. Class: Chanter
    4. Do you have vent and a mic?: Yes
    5. Previous gaming experience: 2 years of Shadowbane, World of Warcraft (from open beta - June09), with a number of weeks to a couple months spent in EQ1 and 2, as well as LOTRO, and 1 1/2 months time spent in Warhammer Online.
    6. Why did you chose XoO / Why do you think you'll be a good fit:? I believe in teamwork, and thus look for guilds who have it as one of their priorities. While not exactly what you'd call hardcore, I prefer to find a tight group of gamers that will work hard to set goals and reach them, getting geared up and built up together with tight communication of vent so that we can win in pvp instead of losing nonstop. I've played healers for many years now and love the roll. Thus I only toss in DPS when I know for sure I can. Yet for the most part I'm a dedicated healer, spending more time staring at my own guys HP bars than the enemies. In wow I had a 60 druid and priest and a 80 shaman. I played druid and prelate in Shadowbane, and am now working on my Chanter in Aion beta and liking what I see so far. I'm not afraid to take orders and am willing to help out anytime I am needed.
    7. What will you contribute to the guild / How will you improve our guild and be a valued member? I will focus hard on not just learning my class, but becoming effecient and effective, researching all I can to subliment my own experience. That way I can not only maximize my healing contribution to the group but perhaps keep myself alive longer, and share my information with other healers in the guild or allied groups.
    8. Do you have a referal?: I've known Vangelis for 22 years. I referred him to you guys and thus joined us in Warhammer Online.
    9. A little bit about yourself: 36 year old RPG fan all the way back to Diablo1 (completed it with an archer woot). I'm 2.5 years into a 5 year enlistment with the Navy and loving my 4-5 hour work days aboard a carrier in dry dock. I've been married for 10 years as of this past January, but been with her for 15 years total. I have a daughter,6 and a son, 1. My hobbies are of course MMOs, playing guitar, graphic design (BFA from Texas Tech, 1999), drawing, and 3D (hoping to use GI Bill to pay for master at Tx A&M starting 2012). My personality is fun and loose, and I love to help others with gaming information. When others cry 'noob' to people posting a question laced with inexperience, I'm one of the ones that actually responds with an answer.
    10. Activity Level? (hrs/week):Wife aggro is a constant threat, so I play quite often. 3-4 hours a day is average with more on the weekend. I aim to maximize my game time by getting into the action asap, so I'm game to log in and get the PvP on, or whatever you guys need. I'm not a loot hog, never had the 'purple cancer' in wow basically. I'm in it to win and everyone walks away happy.

Hey thanks a bunch for the invite.

Like I said I love playing the healer role. So, come release (planning to preorder CE version), if any groups need some Snoopy Band Aids or some Neosporin, let me know! I solo xp/grind fine if I need to but have always preferred groups when I can get one, even if just a duo. GL all and can't wait to yell DING in release, woot!
