Say for example, I knew someone who wanted to join the forums, he has, for example a silly idea for a signature, but he's not too sure if he can use it. He just wants to know if he can use it I guess, so I said id ask you guys. The sig might contain several(like 3-5 pairs of breasts(nice ones, not of the saggy sort)) And their would be no nipples of course, as those are bad! Anyway what should I tell him!???

I say send it to a mod, see if they think it's acceptable or not.

That's how I do it in the forums I admin. If they're not sure, send it to me, i'll be the judge.

You just want him to send it to you in the end no matter what happens. But yea send it to the people who would have to deal with it after they did it, before just to make sure its okay.

A lot of people seem to run forum shit by me. Feel free to PM me your sig, and I'll let you know if it's appropriate or not.

Only if I can put different kinds of penises in my forum sig. I can have big ones, average ones, small ones... really small ones.

But why don't you post the image here and see what the females of this community have to say? I mean, what the hell would PDog know if something like this is offensive or not?

Being a member for so long, and having been a mod for so long at one point, a lot of people come to me for forum-related inquiries. I'm simply giving Heppa an option if he isn't sure he wants to stick it on the forums right away. Most of the time however if someone has PM'd me about something, it's been fine. Whether it's a signature, forum topic, etc.

I would think that if there was a question as to its appropriate nature, it would not be acceptable.

Really all depends. I've had people PM me about certain forum topics that they felt was inappropriate, when in reality was more than acceptable.

Well I mean as a rule of thumb. If you feel it could be seen as inappropriate you should probably not use it. Because your probably not the only one.

I'd say that a signature pic that is not safe for work is, in general, a bad idea, since many of us check the forums ... at work.

    mmm, logic.

edit: on second thought, I seem to recall an option for turning off signatures... guess there's always that option. *shrug* I defer to others to make this call.

I'll second that concern about work-friendly sigs.

Personally, I don't mind, but a flood of nudity-related sigs would mean I wouldn't be able to keep up in the forums at work.

    Just my two copper,

    Izzie.

I think u can offend just about anyone and anything nowdays, so its really the users call and to quote sid, i think there is an option to turn off the sig's so really a user cannot be offended because they have the option to turn of sigs. But then this gets to the argument that they shouldnt have to turn of sigs for just one or 2 people..so really, its the persons call who wants the sig IMO.

If an 18+ community is intolerant enough to be offended by something, methinks someone is lieing about their age.
It's very difficult to offend me, it usually has to be a pure-personal attack. But other controverial jokes and pokes, I take for what they are. Jokes.

This guy wants a sig with half-naked women who are, judging by the OP, at least partially covered enough not to show nipple.

It's skimpy, but as far as I can tell, that's Safe For Work enough.

just cuz were suppose to be 18+ doesnt mean people wouldnt get offended, and i agree it would take a straight up personal attack to offend me as well, but sum people out there are not as EZ going as most. Half naked ladies? who cares? LOL? anyone?

My point was people should be old enough to not get their panties in a bunch, especially something over the internet.
